[00:00:40] <phrik> Title: ROCm compiler reference — llvm-project 20.0.0 Documentation (at rocm.docs.amd.com)
[00:00:46] <gromit> > The ROCm compilers only build the x86 and AMDGPU targets. Functionality and options that are relevant to other targets are not included within the ROCm compilers.
[00:00:48] <gromit> :(
[02:31:51] <bschnei> +1 for non-x86_64 packages in the AUR. I have a couple such packages I maintain on github. I would rather that work be a part of this community instead of training data for co-pilot. Thanks Antiz and jelle for considering this!!

[07:19:07] <solskogen|M1> phrik: That has to be lie, because I've built all of ROCm 7.1 for aarch64 last week. I don't have a AMD card to test it with, but packages that depend on rocm has not complained.

[20:05:58] <nie> Hi, I got myself a gitlab account. Where does the action happen? Doesn't look like in AArch64
[20:06:07] <nie> repo
[20:12:02] <solskogen|M1> what action are you looking for? :)
[20:12:09] <solskogen|M1> is there packages that don't work?
[20:13:44] <solskogen|M1> if you want to get your feet wet, you can start with fzf. Fix the hardcoded amd64 stuff over to something more generic.
[20:15:06] <nie> I dropped by a week or so ago, indicating my willingness to contribute (have no idea in what role atm)
[20:15:14] <nie> Gitlab thing took some time
[20:15:23] <nie> I'll check out fzf ok
[20:18:59] <solskogen|M1> I have a list of problematic pkgbuilds that I just haven't had the time to fix or create MRs for (normally, just easy fixes)
[20:21:57] <nie> I have some experience with aur. "Maintained" dunamips/gns3 stuff. Years ago, though.
[20:22:34] <nie> So basically I need to take upstream pkgbuild and hit it with a wrench until it works on arm
[20:22:50] <solskogen|M1> Do you have Aarch64 Linux (in a lack of a better name for our little project) up and running somewhere?
[20:23:08] <nie> nope
[20:23:17] <solskogen|M1> That would be the very first step :-)
[20:23:48] <solskogen|M1> but other than that, the wrench used for hitting will come in handy.

[22:10:47] <DrZee> nie: if you are cool with it I can get up and running on an AWS machine .... you have to sign up for an account though. if you only run a virtual machine you only pay for that and only when it's running.
